Round was a venture-backed startup founded with the mission to accelerate the positive impact of technology on our world by growing the impact of leaders who lead with empathy, humility, and curiosity. Over time it evolved to become a network and hub for product and engineering leaders to connect, learn, grow, and gain new perspectives.

February 2023 I joined Round as their first community hire. By August 2023 my scope of work expanded to also include marketing. My work could be distilled into five major buckets: digital engagement, member support, content marketing, virtual programming, and hosting. But my magic, my personal touch shined bright as a cheerleader, confidant, connector, facilitator, editor, hype woman, and trusted support. While Round shut its doors March 2024, I’m honored to have left a positive and memorable mark on our members. Because of our team’s collective efforts, 40 of our members stepped up to continue to run the network. While Round’s chapter as a business has concluded, its next chapter and continued legacy has just started.

Highlights during my time at Round include:

  • Launching and running Round’s inaugural contributor network; editing thought leadership pieces for our contributors

  • Driving the charge for subcommunities like Women @ Round and Black @ Round

  • Maintaining strong digital community engagement

  • Growing Round’s organic social presence on LinkedIn

  • Most importantly, leaving a legacy that the Round community wants to continue to drive forward
